At Pana Beauty in Lausanne, our expert intervenes quickly to "save" your nail, whether it's a cracked natural nail, a broken gel extension, or a snag in semi-permanent polish. We use the most suitable technique (gel, fiberglass, silk bandage) for a strong, long-lasting, and aesthetically invisible repair, often saving you the need to cut everything off.
We can repair a wide range of problems: a lateral crack on a natural nail (to prevent it from breaking completely), a popped corner of a gel extension, a cleanly broken gel nail, or a large chip in a semi-permanent polish. Please note: if the breakage involves a wound, bleeding, or suspected infection, we will not be able to intervene until it has fully healed.
The technique depends on the type of break. For a crack in a natural nail, we often use a fiberglass or silk bandage sealed with gel. For a broken extension, we prepare the area and rebuild the missing part with gel or acrygel. We always finish by reshaping and applying color to blend in.
Our goal is for it to be as invisible as possible. If you have a colored base coat, we reapply it over the top to completely conceal the repair. For a 'nude' or transparent base coat, we use materials that blend seamlessly with the natural nail color. The result is usually incredibly discreet.‘
